What is the hot wire on my ignition switch, the one that comes on with the key?
Picture attached.

Re: wiring on ignition switch

This is apparently an I/O switch and as such it should have a letter next to each terminal.

"B" = Battery (this is the +12 volt feed INTO the switch. It is hot all the time.
"I" = Ignition (this terminal is hot when the key is in the RUN position. It powers the engine ignitiion system)
"S" = Solenoid (this terminal is hot when the key is in the START position -- it energizes the starter.)

Thank-you, yes it is an inboard and I'am trying to wire my depth finder and the instructions says use a ignition switch power source?
