timmyt66,

You're pretty much on your own.

Boats, for the most part, are not like cars. Boat companies do not keep that kind of information around. Not to mention, most likely, the guages/switches, etc are generic, not Wellcraft specific.

Re: WIRING HARNESS

Timmy, My SeaRay had a wiring diagram in the owners manual. It included dash, instruments, ignition key etc. Since the motor was a Mercruiser, with a plug and a standard wiring harness, it was likely integrated to the Mercruiser. You can look for an aftermarket generic harness. Maybe you can find one that is intended for your engine. It should be able to be enhanced to include unique stuff you need.

If it were me, I would look around for an aftermarket harness, and when that failed, I would buy bulk multi-conductor wiring (ie. Trailer wiring is 4 conductor) to service power, ground, ignition, start solenoid, fuel sender, trim sender, tach sender, temp sender, warning buzzer, trim/tilt, oil pressure sender etc., and make my own new harness.

You should be able to use a Seloc manual for your power package plus this site to help you figure it all out.

http://www.tflx.com/tech.html

It will show you how each guage is wired.

I am going to use the plug and pray method of wiring. But first I will rip out anything I cannot figure out. Your best bet is to get a long piece of wire and a volt meter and test every circuit. this will help you a lot!

Re: WIRING HARNESS

I am in the middle of rewiring. What a mess I had before I started.Under the flybridge there was a bird nest for a buzzard!I have a harness from the cabin up to the bridge with over 50+ wires, none labled.I will be doing away with 48+ of them and running 2 main +/- and fuse them up there.Finish all the 120v,finished all the bonding, took 3 days and a case of beer!Hope I will finish the dc side this weekend if I can get the wife to boil the crawfish and ice the beer down!
