wiring for surge brakes

I have to wire the last of 5 wire harness to my astrovan. I have a blue wire that is suppose to be connected to the wire that runs the reverse light. How do I find out what wire that is. I went into the backside of the tail lights on the van and you can't see what wire works the reverse (white) light. Help??

The easiest way to find this is to get a wire circuit tester. (Any auto parts store or Walmart for about $5) Turn on the ignition of your van (do nto crank) and put it in reverse to turn on the backup lights. (BE sure to apply the parking brake for safety. Use your circuit tester and probe the wires in the wiring harness under the back of the van until the tester lights up. Just to be sure you have the right one, put the van back in park and test the same wire again. You should not get enythign onthe tester.<br />Good luck and keep posting.
