My 5.7 Mercruser quit while pulling into the dock. (Lucky Me) In diagnosing the problem the engine will not refine. Putting gas down carburetor has no effect. So I removed the distributor cap and saw that the Module had disintegrated. I purchased a new one only to find out that the old module had two screw type connections. One pole had two white/red wires connected the other had one white/green wire connected for a total of three wires. The new module has one white/green wire and one white/red wire and a black ground wire. Where do I connect the two white/red wires that were on the same pole? I am assuming the white/green from the new module connected to the white/green of the engine harness.
