I am working on 1994 Force 120 HP with the Mercury electronics. Installed a water pump kit, Went through the carbs. It is a strong engine. I tried finding a factory service manual and had no luck. The SELOC manual for it is pretty much worthless.
When I start it up she runs awesome, turn the key off and it keeps on running. Anyone have a wiring diagram for it? Serial Number 0E089004. The Seloc manual doesn't have this ones wiring diagram.

#9 could be the overheat switch on the head.
Also what Mercury electronics are you using?
If you are using CDM modules the bias circuit is built in the trigger assy and not tin the CDI like the older units.
This means that the timing will advance more as the rpm increases.
The trigger coils and magnets in the flywheel are different as well. The old trigger will fire the CDM units OK, but there is no bias generated to correct for the voltage buildup in the circuit with increasing RPM so that is the problem. You can adjust the timing with the engine running, but the tracking will not be correct.

Small bet on item #9 being the overheat sensor.-----Grounds to the block to sound overheat horn.

It uses Merc's Thunderbolt system. Exactly what topgun3690 sent in the diagram.

I brought up the CDM as he said it had Mercury electronics. Would the older be the Force?.
Either way I am pretty sure that #9 is the thermoswitch.
Several people have installed the CDMs as I have on my '95 90 hp Sport Jet.
