I'm helping a buddy troubleshoot his 98 Stingray (18' open bow) w/ a 3.0L Mercruiser & Alpha One Outdrive. We troubleshot his problem down to a faulty "up" solenoid. It would go down, but not up. We checked all the connections and everything was clean and tight so we shorted across it and low and behold it worked. Unlike my boat, he doesn't have a negative bus bar; rather, the grounds seem to be spliced inside the harness. Anyways, we got a new solenoid today and will be installing it tomorrow. Does anyone have a schematic for this, just so I can be sure we hook it up right? This thing is in SUCH a tight spot and is wedged between the engine and the molded fiberglass seat.
