I've got a standard momentary on switch for my '79 Johnson 25. But I want to replace it with a keyed ignition. I want to get one that has an accessory switch as well. But I can't figure out how the wiring will work out. I guess I will run the 12V power to the switch, then run the accessory wire to my distro panel. Then I will also need to run my starter wire to the switch. That all seams fairly simple to me. But how to I wire in the kill switch to stop the engine when I turn the key off? I have 4 wires coming from my motor. 14 gauge red and black wires go to the port side of the engine near the starter. 14 gauge blue and black wires fo to the starboard side of the motor near the spark plugs (I believe this is the kill switch). Then I have much heavier gauge wire that runs directly from the battery to the starter. Right now the red and black wires go to the monetary on switch but I'm wondering how to wire the kill switch into the keyed switch. Anyone?
