same as a blazer or jimmy... where does the trailer wiring origionate from? ive been having trouble with running lights, and while invistigating noticed that my wired at the plus are all burnt looking. i tried to follow the harness but it seems to go waaay past the rear axle, up under the floor of the backseat somewhere.

Anyone have any idea where it gets wired to?

Wired at the plus? All you need to do is verify that you have ground, LT, RT and Running (tail/marker) lights at the plug on the truck. If those are ok the problem is with the trailer. No need to chase the harness unless the signals aren't present on the plug. Use a test light or voltmeter.

Sorry, should have said plug.

its not the trailer, because i have 3 different trailers, no tail lights on any of them, but all have tail lights when hooked to another vehicle.

depending who installed the trailer light plug, there is a quick connect port that is on the left hand side compartment in the rear of the van that is behind the 12v plug, remove that panel and the wires should be down there if it was installed with the trailer wire adaptors, and typically this is where the non-quick connect adaptors are hard wired into the harness, also check to make sure that the 12v adaptor is working as alot of installers will use the ground from the 12v adaptor to give it a seperate fuse as not to over load the circuit

it's an SUV, not a van... i have no 12v plug in the rear.

I'd post the question over at blazerforum.com. Lots of knowledgeable folks over there.
