Wiring 1997 Carb MCM V8 with Thunderbolt V & Knock sensor

I'm wiring my engine with the 97 harness and it seems there is an extra gray wire with a lug on it. I can't recall how it came apart and I don't have pictures, but I have a foggy memory that it's possible there were 2 gray wires to the negative side of the ignition coil.
Can any one confirm this? I'm going to go this way unless someone knows a problem.

there is a grey wire from the module side and a grey wire in the harness. both go to the neg coil side
