Winterizing while in the water?

I have a Wellcraft with a Volvo 5.0 i/o, raw water cooling. I plan to leave the boat in its slip until January. Can I drain the block and manifolds with the boat in the water, or will water siphon through the intake on the outdrive? Thanks in advance for any replies.

Ayuh,........

I do it All the Time.......

Up here the water usually doesn't get Hard till mid/ late December,....
And I like to keep Fishing as late as possible........
My boat used to reside on it's Trailer, but since I bought Waterfront properties,.....
It stays in the Water......

The Key to all this is draining ALL the Water out,........
