I somehow lost my previous post so I am reposting. I have a 4.3l I/O Mercruizer engine serial #OW656481 built in 2006. When draining water from the engine to winterize, is it suffucient to remove the 5 blue drain plugs or are there also other sites that need to be drained?
Thanks

for raw water cooling should be:
2 in the block , 1 in each manifod, 1 in the large hose going to the thermostat housing or 1 in the power steering cooler.
risers may also need to be drained depending on your hose configuration.

Along with the 5 plugs, pull the hose of the power steering cooler to drain. No drain plug in those coolers.

Could I ask a favour? You have a 2006 4.3... Could you check something for me? Do you have a small oil leak at the front of the sump, at the bottom of the timing cover?

Thanks,

Chris......
