Winterizing Mercruiser 350 and intake manifold

Good Day fellow boaters.

Quick question for you. If I open all the cocks on the block (2) and the manifolds (1 each side), and disconnect the Heat Exchanger hose. Will the intake manifold get drained? If Not how do I drain it?

Yes, but why are you draining the antifreeze side? Not for winterization I hope?

Wow that was quick don. Thanks.. Oops I meant the power steeling cooler line. Not Heat Exchanger. I do not have a closed cooling system. Just a raw water system, and was not sure that the intake manifold on top of the engine would get all the water out if I did all of the above mentioned. Thanks for the peace of mind.

Well, the PS cooler is a different thing. Not know what hear or where or how it's mounted, it's hard to say. Pull a hose off the low end and let it drain if you are not sure.

PS Cooler is located on port side below exahust manifold next to block. And yep sure did take off the lowest hose and let water drain out.

Ayuh,.......
The Intake is conected to the Heads,....
And the Heads are conected to the Block,......
And it All Drains down through those 2 Drains you opened,+ Poked out on the Bottom of the Block.......

But,......
I Don't see that you Pulled the Big hose off the Engines Waterpump,..........
That can hide a Good Quart of Water..............
