Winterizing engine.

First I/O that I am messing with. Where does one inject anti-freeze for the winter without starting the engine? Are there drain petcocks on the block? 1985 GM 3800 V6. Thanks.

Ayuh,.... Hi Frank,...

There's a drain plug on both sides of the block, just above the oil pan, 'bout midway fore, 'n aft...
There's also drain plugs on the manifolds...
Then pull the Big hose off the circulating water pump..
So long as All the water is drained,...
There's No need for antifreeze...

Btw,... I'll move this down to the OMC forum for ya.... ;)

and pull the drain cocks right out and poke some wire up each of the 4 drains to make sure rust chunks don't block the holes

I see a power steering pump in the pic, so also want to have a look for your power steering cooler and drain it too
