Thanks to all the posters here for the pointers and direction - thanks to Don S. for the 'sticky' post at the top of the board...
Everything went well - took 3 or so hours yesterday to polish the boat, remove everything, etc. and then did all the mechanical stuff today in about 3 more hours...
Of course, Murphy's Law would dictate the weather would be flawless today - I was fogging the engine and thinking - dang I wanna go boating NOW.
My kid was all bummed when she realized I was putting the boat away for the winter.
Anyway - it was a great inaugural season - can't wait for May/June.
One thing to those who are thinking about DIY winterizing - get your self a power pump to remove the engine oil via the dipstick tube - the $10 hand pump I got took forever and now my right arm is down for the count - which is OK as I prefer the company of my left hand most nights... But seriously - the hand pump is not your friend.
Well - time to tune the skis.
See you all in spring.
