I need to know how to winterize my 1989 Bayliner capri 4cyl 2.3L ford cobra I/O OMC boat. I was told a couple ways on how to do it and it just doesn't seem right. So I was hoping to get the real info...also with the frost the last few night and how cold it gets over night, is my boat already going to be damaged?

Drain the engine block and exhaust manifold, (open petcocks). disconnect and drain hoses at thermostat housing.
Also drain the pivot housing, there is a drain on the port side and starboard side.
Now your protected from main killer (freeze damage).
I've got a bucket of minnows on my patio, three nights freezing temps and not one bit of ice, too much latent heat yet, I wouldn't worry too much but get it drained asap.
Engine fogging, oil change in motor and drive, fuel/water seperator, fuel stabilizer, ect, ect.. but getting that water drained is absolutely mandatory.

Thanks a lot for the help. Went smooth for the most part. Drained the two petcocks I saw on the starboard side of the engine. And the coolant housing from what I can tell. Having trouble narrowing down what plugs to pull on the outdrive. Got any insight to that?

There are NO water drain plugs on a cobra outdrive, just tilt it all the way down and let the water drain out.. make sure NOT to mess with the bolt under the Cobra decal on each side. those are NEVER to be removed ..
