The $10/foot shrinkwrap includes a frame to support the cover. You will need to do that as well. I use a 2X4 ridge pole, and tie twine side to side to support the cover. It works pretty well.

Re: Winter Storage

I think if your boat is in a spot that is fairly protected from heavy winds you would be ok with the reusable cover. The area I live in is wide open, nothing to break the crazy winter winds. I have done the tarp thing in the past and no matter how well it is tied down the wind just gets at it and things start flapping around over time. Water can pool with a tarp because it will never drain like shrink wrap, it just cant be pulled as tight. Shrink wrap pretty much prevents unwanted critters from setting up in your boat also. I went in with a friend on a complete shrink wrap kit, and if you can do the same its worth it! There is also the navigloo system you can check out. If you are leaning towards buying a tarp, you should really at least have a look at the navigloo home page to get an idea of the height and slope of the framework they use to prevent rain pooling and snow buildup.
