Has anyone come up with a rodent-proof prop cover for winter storage? One winter a raccoon fell through the bow cover and decided it was a nice place to hibernate. This year something smaller but bigger than a mouse crawled through the exhaust ports in the prop and made itself at home around the water pump. I only noticed when I decided to check the water pump impeller. I ran it before draining the gear oil and the fur got wrapped around the driveshaft. There’s more fur up the exhaust in the upper housing. There’s no telling how far it might have travelled. Hopefully it’s gone.

Shove a few bounce dryer sheets in the exhaust, then cover with metal window screen.

A friend packs the exhaust with steel wool.
