Folks
I have an 87' Ski Sanger 5.7 liter with an Alpha outdrive. Not sure how many hrs. on on it. I am considering a little engine performance tweeking by putting bigger cam kit in it, and bigger carb and manifold. Am I asking for trouble? What can I safely do to increase this engine's performance? Or should I just take the plunge and by a new 383 stroker crate motor?

Thanks! Randy

Ayuh,... It depends on what you're starting with, 'n what cam you have in mind...

Generally speakin',... Big cams are a No-No...

Currently the engine is bone stock. And as as big as I can safely go with the cam.. I would like the boat to have a little lope to it..
