Winter mice are too much this cold winter in New Jersey.

I can not safely set the Snap Trap Victor traps. Too feeble and slow. So I am switching to Electronic ones. I have found all the places where they enter & leave. I want to buy a outdoor camera to see the times & numbers at each location. Will then Silicone RTV the outside when and where they leave to feed and drink.
Any good cameras that transmit to a in the house monitor ? Any not good ones to avoid ? Brands ? Prices ? I have no one near me with a good camera.

Get the bucket and antifreeze set up, then take of picture of the dead mice.

Put a small amount of food (bird, dog, cat) in bucket. Place bucket next to something they can climb. Next day or two use 2x4 to crush mice, dump and repeat

Use antifreeze in cool places, it won't freeze and they will drown and the clean up will be easier than crushing, mice are not stupid they smell death and blood.

We've caught many mice using the 5-gallon bucket technique. We put a bit of peanut butter in the bottom of the bucket and use a 2x4 as a ramp from the floor to the lip of the bucket. My daughter can't stand the idea of killing them, so we take them far away and release them in the woods.

Late to the party
I used to use the victor traps and then discovered these on Amazon. By far the easiest to set just like squeezing a clothes pin. Hair trigger. We live in the woods and field mice can be an issue. These things never miss, a mouse steps on it he’s a goner. We’ve wiped them out to where we only get a few mice a year now. Granted they are plastic and I had one break after a few kills, but still worth the cost.

2' x 2' pieces of plywood
2' x 2' piece of hardware cloth
1" copper tube cap
12 gauge Romex

Cut out a 2" diameter hole in middle of hardware cloth.

Staple to the plywood

Screw the copper tube cap to center

Connect one leg of romex to hardware cloth, the other leg to the copper cap

Fill cap with peanut butter

Connect to 230 volt outlet

Mice come along, smell peanut butter, go for it and "pop!".

It's more fun if you have an old neon transformer

Buy a small bottle of strong peppermint oil, add a few drips to cotton balls and spread them around. Mice hate the smell of peppermint, some use pepperment candies but the sugar draws other insects. Peppermint oil works best and is cheap.
