crappie fishing at Table Rock lake should be ok, and it should be possible to catch sand bass, hybrids and stripers at any of the large lakes there this time of year with live shad and a decent fishfinder. I live in NE OK but the situation will be similar there I am sure.
Also, with live shad and heavy gear you can catch some very large (25lbs +) blue cats this time of year in most lakes and rivers, just fish on the bottom.

You are in the middle of winter fishing mecca! We fish Bull Shoals, Table Rock, Norfolk, Stockton, Pomme de Terre, Fellows all winter long. Several of us are fishing Bull Shoals for walleye this coming Wednesday, the 29th.

Here is a local forum for you to check out, most of the guys are located in SW Missouri.

http://www.outdoormissouri.com/ubb/index.php?Cat=0

mikeandronda, you only live 2 hrs from me, why have we not fished together? We need to get something set up, I have an itch that only a day out on the lake can scratch. This time of year is when I do most of my fishing. Do you still have my email addy?

Hey Nate we really do need to go. Im afraid I have only gone 3-4 times in the last yr so frankly I only know what I have been told about fishing in this region. I think we talked about Tablerock in the past but in truth i never got back out after our talk. When i lived in Wisconsin I was less then a mile from the Mississippi and I went 2,3 or 4 times a week. Do you catfish Nate? Mosly everybody I know around here fish Bass and Crappies ( not that thats a bad thing) I fish for anything with Fins.

Well I guess that I fall into the category of everyone. I rarely fish for catfish. I have landed some very big ones, but that has always happened while Crappie fishing. I will shoot you an email so that we can go sometime.

New member, but lived around Table Rock Lake, IF you are up for some Trout Fishing Now is that time of the year, Taneycomo is hot and also below Beaver Dam on the White River. Right Below the Overflow Dam where Taneycomo and Bull Shoals Starts you can get in there and Really get into the Walleyes, and Trout, especially if the water is up a bit. Hope you catch the one you are looking for, wish i was there but will be again.
