Wife's friend in Appleton said she was wearing shorts a week ago, now expecting 6+" of snow.

Must be summer here. No snow, just rain and 34 deg when I got up this morning. That's F not C.

It was 102F with 20% humidity at The Hideout yesterday, with a yellow/brown sky that smelled heavily of wood smoke and a dull, red disk hanging in the sky.

This immediate area is in a terrible drought and the worst wildfire in Texas history is about 20mi west and moving east. :(

I'll take some of that snow, Roscoe.

Do you have sprinklers set up on your roof and out buildings?

It is common come forest fire season around here for people to have a backup means for pumping water if the power goes out, either back up generator for the well or a water pump in the cistern/well or dugout.
How about down there?

Heard about your fires JB, just didn't realize they were that close to you.

Praying for the firefighter's family.

Good Luck

Supposed to turn to snow by tomorrow afternoon, finish up by Wednesday 8 am.

Heaviest accumulations along a line from --- oh wait, there is no line. Seems the storm is gonna park itself right over Medford. 20 miles in any direction, and they are only calling for 5-6 inches.

Oh happy day.

Was staying in Red Wing last week. Nice and warm one day and chilly the next. Had to stay over Friday night and woke up to 2" of snow on the car! Glad I was able to escape.

We only received a dusting. Still way too much. Looks like we're going to skip spring and jump straight into summer this year. Enough already!
