Windshield wiper arm removal?

1987 Pontiac Sunbird (Citation, Skylark ad nauseum) How the heck to they come off? I had them off before when I painted the car but cannot remember or figure it out.<br /><br />They seem to be 'snap' on as opposed to held on with a nut, under a tilting cover cap.<br /><br />Any help will be appreciated as I have color sanded the car and am get ready to put the Chinee Buffing wheel to it.<br /><br />BTW, the few sections I have done (roof and trunk lid) look absolutely professional. I'm surprised it has taken me over a half century to get up the nerve to try this.

Should be a clip or little ear things on it,tilt it up and then pull back on the ears and it should pop right off.
