Windshield frame parts???

Does anyone know where to find the aluminum framing for an older boat windshield? THe side window was damaged and I hat to replace the whole windshield. Thanks..... :rolleyes:

If the boat is fairly new, the manufacturer can probably supply the parts although they will be expensive.

The next best alternative is to call the boat salvage and recycling yards. Try Lanier http://www.laniermarine.net/

And do a search for boat salvage, recycling, boat liquidators, etc. There are a few out there. Unfortunatelly, Lanier seems to be run by a bunch of F*** ups.

Always try your local window and glass shop. The aluminum extrusions that they have catalogs for will amaze you. Usually it can be bought by the foot for a very reasonable price. Older out of production extrusions will cost more, but they are available for many years.

Marine suppliers rarely will spring for the dies for a custom window extrusion. Use that to your advantage.
