I purchased a Windrose 24' sailboat from someone on Craigslist. Unfortunately, it was missing quite a few parts such as a rudder, cushions, etc... I have had a horrible time finding any information about the Windrose boats. Has anyone out there made it their lifes work to collect Windrose information? ;) Mike

Is the manufacturer Windrose, or is that the model? There was a Laguna brand of boats (now out of business I think) that made Windrose models.

Yes, Laguna was the manufacturer and the Windrose 24' was made between 1974 and 1983. I've just have had a hard time finding a lot of information on them. I was hoping somebody here had discovered original sales manuals, etc. Missing a rudder, running gear and other odds and ends. Would be nice to find others with similar boats that were complete. ;)

I have a Windrose Manual I can share....

Hi Mike: I grew up in your neighborhood, went to Groves high school and my mom sold Laguna Yachts, and I actually have the brochures from when she sold them and scanned them so here is some of the information. I have the 18 foot Windrose....it was my dad's and he left it to me.

Hey Suki, not sure if my private message went through but, Thanks! This information is so much fun to look through. It's a little history and a lot of problem solving for us. Anything you have on the 24 would be an absolute treasure but, thanks for what you found and forwarded!

I used to have a Windrose 22 -- loved it! I still have the rudder, it's a solid piece of mahogany almost 6' long. Maybe that's why your boat is missing the rudder, it was too pretty for the previous owner to let it go!
