Windows Picture and Fax Viewer in FireFox emails?

Ok, I give up! I have googled till I'm blue in the face. Win XP laptop using FireFox as the browser. When opening .jpg attachments in emails, Windows Picture and Fax viewer is not given as an option to 'open with'.

WPFV is on board the computer. If you open any .jeg that you have on the harddrive, the picture opens in WPFV.

This is apparently a common issue but I could find no resolution to it.

It's not in the email programs ability. Download the attachment from your email program, to your desktop, then it will open with the Windows Picture and Fax viewer.

Windows Picture and Fax viewer is not given as an option to 'open with'.

By any chance did you check mark the WPFV box that said use this option and Don't ask again ??.

Plug in a camera or something and see if it will ask you anything.

It just plain does not show up when trying to open a jpeg in an online mail provider, at least through FireFox. I tried it on my home computer, using an online provider. Just like my friends laptop, with Hotmail, WPFV is no where to be found. That sucks big time.
