Win XP question?

Still working on Mrs Boomyal's IE problem. It being a laptop, when you close the lid, it goes to sleep. When you open it back up, you get a screen that allows you to choose a user. There is only one declared.

It also shows if you have any unopened emails for that account and if there are any programs running. In this case, it shows one program running.

How do I find out what that program is as there is nothing obviously running?

I have also, one at a time, closed every item in the start up tray.

Boomyal: Take a look in Windows Task Manager under processes. Fastest way there is CTL+ALT+DEL one time. That will tell you everything running. If you don't recognize the names, google them and you'll find out what they are. Especially take note of the ones using a lot of memory.

Here's a small, free, little gem of a program, that will tell you more than you want to know about whats running.

Re: Win XP question?

Thanks bjcsc. I did find it with Ctr+Alt+Delete. It was a Kodak Photo Update program. I had closed the program icon in the start up tray but that did not shut the program down.

Xcusme, I filed that little gem for future use, thanks.
