Im working on my 82 150hp Black Max merc with a blown up powerhead. The 150 is toast. Block blown apart, crank no good etc.. the rest of the outboard is perfect. May have a line on a 135hp v6 powerhead a few years newer. Will it swap onto the main stack of my 150 black max? What will or will not interchange onto the 135hp powerhead? The HP loss is not a big factor. Its just on a old 17foot bowrider, and 150hp might be a bit overkill anyways. Thanks for any help!!

Swap the whole powerhead. Most of the parts will interchange.

Like he says swap complete power head. Only things that won't interchange are block, heads and oiler stuff. If tha later model still has oiler working and ya wanna keep it that way your gonna need to get all tha external parts with it. ie: Boat tank, motor tank and all tha lines...........Best ta get tha oiler delete stuff and pre-mix......jmo
