Will this shifter fit my 18hp?

IMG_0584.JPGHello all.
Recently bought a 16ft SeaNymph with a 30hp Suzuki. I'm considering removing the Suzuki and converting my 2001 Tohatsu 18hp tiller to remote for this boat. (To fish HP restricted lakes)
I picked up a Nissan remote but I'm not sure it will fit and I don't think it's all there? The electrical cable ends with a female connector. The part that extends to the motor seems to be missing?(Wiring harness?)
Couple of questions:
I can't find a model number anywhere on the remote. Does anybody think this will work with my motor?
If you think it will work, do you know what other parts I'll need? (You can PM me)(wiring harness?)
Do you think the 18 will move my boat with people and gear well enough not to be dangerous?
Many thanks for your consideration.

The physical box is the same, but you would need a new wiring harness. You would need a SRC kit, steering link arm and control cables too.

Thanks Guru.
What about the knob that's missing from the tension control thingy? (top pic)
Is that necessary?

It isn't critical, but it does keep the handle from moving by itself....Usually the control cables have enough tension to do that by themselves. From a paranoid safety standpoint you should have it.
