Will this lower unit work?

I am looking to buy a lower unit for my 1977 Johnson 115 hp. I know someone with one for a 1987 90 johnson will that one fit?

I just bought a lower unit for my 72 40hp johnson, but Im not an expert and I doubt it would work.try ebay

If yours is a 25" version it is the same length (end to end) and bolt pattern. If yours is a 20" shaft, then yours is shorter and will not bolt up.<br /><br />If yours is a 20" version these will fit;<br />all V4 1973 to 1976 and<br />1977 85 and 115 except 25" models.<br /><br />None of the 1977 140 models and none of the 1978 and newer V4's will bolt up.<br /><br />If you cant find the earlier version call Jack at Superior Marine at 800-338-9281.
