1988 Johnson 90 VRO.......running & starting perfectly, 1/2 tank gas. Leave boat at dock with motor tilted up. Return after 1 week, start up, lots of heavy blue smoke, idles rough, never clears up and then dies. Now it cranks but will not start. Choking with key as always, opening and closing start throttle but no help. Noticed after tilting up again that oily black unburnt gas was oozing out around prop shaft housing............figured had been flooding all the while trying to start. Gas is still much of what was treated and put in last fall for storage. Put some of gas from supply hose in glass jar and no water showing. Today will put new gas into 6 gallon small outboard tank and hook up to 90 and try to start with for sure fresh gas. Pulled three of easiest accessible plugs and they look fine.
