Sure. I've seen it before with just the operator and a light passenger.

If tubes and keel are well inflated
If engine is properly trimed
Operator is well ballanced forward
Engine is 100% operational
The answer is yes

my 11 foot Avon planes me with a 4HP Mariner -I'm 205 lbs
with my Yamaha 6Hp, it is downright "peppy"

thanks guys, I have just fitted a thermostat and run the engine in the tank for 20 mins all good, Thank you for the youtube link and who knows that name might just stick (I havent named it yet lol)
