Im repowering from an 1988 Nissan 90 hp to a 2001 Nissan 140 hp. I have a 21 gallon tank. Should I expect to use more or less gas. I'm thinking since motor is newer and will have more power I will use less, but any advice or thoughts? I was currently underpowered.

Chances are you will consume less fuel running at less throttle than before. Fuel consumtion depends on how heavy you have your hand on throttle, boat, passenger load, water conditions, wind, etc. You could make a wot test to check if inside min-max rpm safe parameteres factory specified for that horse. If needed, optimize boat & engine performance with a different prop.
