J-B STIK Part No. 8267-S

Quick, easy and clean. J-B STIK Weld is a hand kneadable, steel-reinforced epoxy putty adhesive/sealant that will plug holes and make permanent repairs on wet and dry surfaces. It will even cure completely submerged in water or GASOLINE! Simply knead thoroughly, with your fingers, a portion necessary for the repair and apply. J-B Stik will fully cure 20-30 minutes; and can be drilled, sanded, filed, tapped, machined, and painted. J-B Stik requires no tools or "prep time", and makes no mess.

Holds up find to gas from my experience. I punched a small hold in the bottom of my ol' pickup's gas tank and slapped a JB weld patch on it. Never leaked again for the 10 years I had the truck.

No, I would never do something like that! It would be totally irresponsible to JB weld a broken nylon barb fitting back into a buggered carb on an air cooled motor. Never.
The standard 8265-s says not to. Never would I do that.
Somehow it just bonded itself back together and hasn't fallen off in two years. Must be osmosis.....or maybe the E-10 fuel is holding it in there with all the stray corn kernels jammed in the lines....

Yeah, What They Said!

I had some leaks in an old school Ford fuel pump. It was the old kind with the fuel filter right on the bottom of the mech pump. The cup had some small rust leaks in the body. I gave the whole cup a coating of JB, ran for years.

Straight gasoline will not affect (or effect?) it but ethanol will, with the E10 being so common now, don't use it.

We don't have ethanol here.... If we do ever get it I just won't put it in my boat.;):)
