Will an Alpha1 drive wotk on my pre-Alpha?

I have a 1975 Mercruiser 140hp. It has a pre-Alpha drive on it. Will a Alpha1 drive directly swap out? Is it a direct fit? Or what would need to be done. Thank you.

Yes... There maybe a difference in the input shaft length, you need the short 1...
