Will a Ballistis SS prop from a Suzuki fit a Merc?

I've spotted a cheap Ballistic SS prop that was on a '98 Suzuki 55hp. The diameter and pitch are perfect for my motor but will the prop fit on the prop shaft? My motor has 10 splines, but how many does a Suzuki have?

The Zuki of that size has 13...you're gonna have to find a prop FOR your application.<br />If you buy a cheap prop, then buy a 38 $ thrust washer to make it work because it's from a different engine, it "may" end up costing you more...

Why don't you contact Michigan Wheel and ask them, or go to their site and once you download their 2.??? Mbit PDF file you can see for yourself. If a special thrust washer is required for an application, they list it.<br /><br />Mark

The spline count is completely wrong, Mark....as is the length of the inner hub.<br />I've got some zuki props and have found how to make them fit my 70HP Merc....set them aside and buy the right ones...

I've just found out that Suzuki has 13 splines and mercury 10, so it ain't gonna fit.<br /><br />I'll get the right tool for the job I think.

A SS 10 3/8 or there abouts 13p 10 spline....
