Will 60hp Power Trim Fit on 40 or 35 OMC

I have a very nice 1959 35hp OMC. Will the Power Trim unit from a V4 1966 VXL-12R adapt to my 35?

Don't think it will, but I may be corrected. Two entirely different mtr brackets.

Yes, noted.
It's not so much the transom clamp but the Bearing Post diameter and length.
They appear to be similar dimensions.
Knock the post out and modify?
Surely someone has done the swap.
Wouldn't it be neat for a RDE-19 or a Lark to be fitted with power trim?

Didnt think they offered trim till early 70's as earlier where tilt units....

These V4's were very heavy.
I have heard the hydraulics were called "lift assist".
I assume that you would have to help it?
But on a lighter engine, could it be used as we know it...trim?
