Will 170 carb fit on 120 engine?

I have the infamous bog with my current carb on a merc 120, and am wondering if the carb on the 170 or 470 would fit since it doesn't seem to have the problem and looks almost identical. My rebuild instructions list the carb numbers as 1389-8490A for my 120, and 1389-8489A for the 470 (or 170?, other lists mix the 2) My bolt pattern looks to be about 2.00 x 3.75".<br /><br />Anyone know if I can use the other carb?

If it bolts on,+ the linkages,+ lines hook up,.......<br />There's Probably a difference in the Jetting,..........<br />The 470,.. Is a bigger motor......... Don't Know.......<br />If you've Got It,..... I'd Try it.........
