Will 150hp stator and trigger work on 125hp.

I have a 1989 bayliner, inboard 125hp L-drive. I am not getting any spark to the plugs. I have new stator and trigger for a 150hp and I need to know if it will work. Also, what should i do with the extra wires. Any input is greatly appreciated.

I'm afraid I don't have information at my disposal about the stator right now, but the trigger won't work. Only the trigger for #1 is going to fire a cylinder on time. The rest are at different angles and can't fire at the right times. The 150 fires every 72 degrees, the 120 every 90. There's more than one trigger in a trigger assembly.
