Union that I am a member of has threatened to walk to protest pension legislation by the provincial government. Employer realizes that this strike is not directed at them and is in support of this action. Protocal has been set by councellors to allow union members to use vac/lieu or unpaid time for the first day of the action. I am assuming that not showing up the following day will mean a break in service\break in contract and some sort of repercussions to follow. Wondering if anybody else has been in a simillar situation and what they did to get through it. This is a first for me. Not sure what to do. To many implications....
