I have a 26' Imperial that has a 9'2" beam,
is there a trailer available to haul this size boat?
I would like to bring the boat to my shop in
NE. PA. to work on it this winter, I was quoted
1800.00 to haul it, round trip from Maryland where it is berthed. So , Why not get a trailer?
Any thoughts?
Thanks , Ed

Re: Wide load ?

Most states require special escort and have special regulations governing wide loads.

Check with MD and PA Highway Depts.

Good luck. :)

From Md. to Pa. you should not have any problem if you can stay on the interstate. As JB said check with the state highway Dept's., at most you will have to buy a wide load permit for each state, and banners for the front and back.
Permits are not going to be that expensive.
I pulled a 36 footer from Miami back to NC, net beam was 11'6", got the permits, and banners, was told to tape a sign on the truck door saying not for hire, and did not even stop at the scales.
