At the boat ramp I had everything besides tach...

Gas, temp, fuel, batt, trim and tilt, all worked fine, started driving around looked down and lost them all, tryed playing with the wires, checked the fuses(all good) still nothing...?

I really dont want to have to trace all the wires to where they go...or is this my only option?

Any ideas??!!:)

Start with the terminals on the battery. A good cleaning, brushing, and protective spray will not hurt anything.

Ground wire on the buss bar behind the dash is the most likely suspect.

All of your symptoms point to a bad ground somewhere... Check your fuses and electrical connections.

Your gauges get their power from the purple wire in the engine harness, which typically runs to the tach first, then daisy chains to the rest of the gauges. Check for a good connection on this wire at the tach.

The gauges may also get their ground from the engine harness. But as the guys said, it could simply be a loose ground, probably at the tach as well...

Are the guages illumiated? Do they still light up? If so check the harness connector in the engine compartment to the respective sending units. Clean all terminals from the battery to the guages.
