...for Mercruiser steering cables on the iboats website, it comes up with 3 choices of Clymer manuals and nothing else?

Mercruiser doesn't make steering cables anymore. Even if they did, it would be a Mercruiser OEM certified dealer. Do a search for steering cables. If this is that 898 you have been posting about, there are no cables for the old Merc systems. People now just replace cable and helm assembly as a kit.

Hey Don, read my post. I did a search on iboats parts and accessories and all that came up were the links to three clymers manuals.

Yup, I saw that........ it picked up on the "mercruiser steering" ............... eliminate the word mercruiser from the search and you will be fine.
