Why are there fewer parts dealers for the pre-1996 SeaDoo?

There seems to be a major disconnect between parts vendors for the SeaDoo in 1995. Many dealers carry parts for 1996 to current, but much fewer for 1995 and before. What event occurred in 1995 that changed the SeaDoo world?

perhaps it's just a 10-year stocking policy by the dealers...at the shop i worked at we tried to stock common parts no matter how old the boat, but it's not exactly cost effective to do that...

Okd skis, the cost of fixing not worth what the ski is worth. Tons and tons of used parts on the market. Why carry parts for a ski that is no longer under warranty and that the chances of someone bringing one in for repairs are between slim and none
