Who the heck makes this boat!?!?!

I have a 14'6" aluminum fishing boat. On the side of the boat it says "Northwood" and that is also what is says on the title. First problem, the only boat manufacturing company i've found named "Northwood" only makes 'toons and they've only been around since 2004 I beleive. Whereas my boat was build in 1994. Second problem, is that I have no idea what model it is. Says nothing about model type on title.

I really need to get the NADA value for my boat but have no idea who makes it, or what model it is! Kind of maddening. I found a few other forums that said it is made by smokercraft, then someone said it was made by Brunswick Marine (which by the way is not even listed on NADA) and then another person said it is made by Sylvan. Yet I've had no luck so far with any of them.

Length: 14'6"
Beam: No clue
Hull: Aluminum
Year: 1994

The picture by my name is the boat I'm talking about.

Thanks!

...I forgot, on the side of the boat at the transom it also says "1467 LW". Would that be the model?

I tried a google search with that too and didn't come up with anything!

Crestliner? It seems like I remember seeing those two names on the same boat before.

I just checked on NADA. It was close. But still couldn't find it.

OK here is the link. : http://www.uscgboating.org/recalls/mic_detail.aspx?id=BMD

It says it was made by Brunswick and before that it was Burris. Neither of which are listed on NADA?!?!?! The only Northwood boats listed on NADA are the 'toons.

So how do I find out my boats value? and how are those two manufacturers not listed on NADA?

Re: Who the heck makes this boat!?!?!

ok using the link you gave me for spectrum boats, the closest model I could find was teh 1437 LW. However on the side of my boat it says 1467 LW. I also checked the "fisher" boats but non had any models close to that. We are deff. getting close.

It says the 1437 LW model is only worth 500 bucks? My boat has to be worth more than that. It has a carpeted deck, running lighs, bilge pump, livewell, storage compartment. etc.

NADA values are not going to give you fair market value. They simple give you a starting point. (usually very low for boats more than a few years old)

You get a much better estimate of value by looking at what similar boats in your area sell for on the open market.

The only choice you have is to place a value on it based on a similar boat. There are hundreds of companies not listed on the nada site.

Im pretty sure its made by sylvan. I have a 18.8 northwoods. Its a open bow run about, so they dont only make toons. My boat is a 1993 though so they have been around longer than what you thought. They are just uncommen.

Nothwoods are indeed Sylvans. In Minnesota Northwood boats are very common. I have a 14' and I'm upgrading to a 16' Northwood Guide.
