Re: Who said you can't tilt the engine by hand if it has power T/T?
45red..

The engine was used in saltwater, and was removed to re-power(went w/a 150). After it was removed, it was stored in a garage (dry) for a little over 3 months. There is obvious corrosion on it..but I've seen a lot worse that still worked perfect, so...make it what you will. I released the man. release 3-4 turns, and it wont move a hair...I will lift the boat off the trailer before the engine tilts. The zerks will take grease, but they are full, it just pushes it out the sides. If I can get it to move with the power tilt/trim, then that will be a start..and could possibly make it easier to remove, right?

rick,

I assumed that those suggestions were just to get the steering ram out of the tilt tube. I'm not worried about the ram, because I have a transom mount cable that just attaches to the tiller. Therefore, I dont need the steering cable that goes thru the tilt tube. BUT, I do need the engine to tilt, hehe.

Walker,

If I hook up the tilt, it will break it loose? I will try it this evening if I get a chance...
Have you ever had to do this? You work on engines, what would you charge for something like this? I am kind of fed-up with it to be honest, I just want to go fishing already!

Thanks guys
Shawn
