Who makes Cabela's AGM Batteries?

Does anyone know who the manufacturer is for Cabela's AGM batteries? They seem to have very good specs for the money. <br /><br />Anyone using them now?<br /><br />How are they holding up?<br /><br />I called Cabela's and they will not disclose their supplier info.

Welcome to Iboats!<br /><br />There are usually contractual agreements that conceal the actual OEM. It's probably one of the major manufacturers. I wouldn't worry about it. Cabellas will stand behind them.<br /><br />Experience says 5-6 years out of an average battery, no matter who makes it or how much it cost. The only exception is the "no-name" el-cheapos. They don't last as long because the plates are smaller.

I did a little research. Cabela's will not tell (or just do not know) who makes their batteries. The batteries say Made in China right on them. I know Cabela's will stand behind the product.<br /><br />The specs are just too good to believe, for the money. No one else has anything close for any price.<br /><br />That being said, I'm going to get one and give it a try.
