Who makes bimini tops which connect to the windshiled?

Hi all, I have been looking for somebody that sells a bimini top which would connect to my windshield on my 1967 Hydrodyne and cover about 6-feet behind the windshield. I would like it higher than the windshield, but not sky-high like a bimini top seems to sit.

Any thoughts?

That style of top is called a convertible top. About the only way to get one is have one made for your boat by a canvas or upholstery shop.

Will most shops be able to make the frame too? Will they have the connectors and base brackets?

My local shop builds from the ground up to your specs and the workmanship is far superior to what ive seen bought online.

Thanks, guys... I have a local guy that might be able to do it. I was also looking at a standard bimini top frame and I think that if the top could be shortened down enough, a new canvas could be made using that frame design and would help a canvas shop if they didn't work with the tubing.

I think though, that I might have to find a TARDIS as it could be a bit tricky fitting the top into a Delorean. Maybe stop by the Hydrodyne shop around 1967 and ask them exactly what I have and how many of these 19-footers boats they made!

Those tops are also known as Navy tops. They will be no higher than the windshield.

A "camper" top is essentially a bimini top that has been connected to the windshield. The connector piece can be clear plastic.

As far as I know these are custom made.
