Trying to reconstruct that in my head. Truck slipped into the water but why is the bow dipping in? Still connected to the strap?

Could be. In the one pick it looks like he's trying to unhook it..... Then again, if that was the case, you would think the boat would have spun around and faced out.

I remember that. It was a brand new truck too. I do know the story, but not at liberty to divulge. Lets say it was a big oops.

I just thought the bow would naturally spin and face out since it's moving beside the truck...... Maybe the trailer is jackknifed. Just all speculation.......... Don't want to try it and see what actually happens....:watermelon:

I would assume that the boat was on a short tether via the strap to the winch and could not turn around...just sayin'.

The last picture it looks like he has "OPP" on his bow. all he needs to do now is add a "S" at the end.

"OPP" = Ontario Provincial Police.
This happened in North Bay about 6 years ago.

Spent a fair amount of time in Ontario when I lived in Buffalo centuries ago. We would always say, "Oops it's the opps." Whenever we saw one coming.


edit: Back in the dark ages many of the OPP officers didn't 'Parley Englais' too good, and my French is a lil rusty. So that was always fun.
