Re: Who cooks?

You may be suprized at the answers..
99% of the cooking is done by me for Mrs.Link and her mom. 99% of the clean up is done by them :)
Nothing finer than being the cook and not having to worry about cleaning all them extra pans :D :D

Re: Who cooks?

:) I do 99% of the cooking and I do 99% of the grocery shopping, fresh foods every day!!!

Don't get me wrong, my wife is an excellent cook but I like to eat at a certain time!!!! With her hours of work , it wasn't possible so I took over the cooking!!!! But she washes the dishes, if you want to call it that, she puts them in the dish washer!!!! ;)

Re: Who cooks?

Well, of course I do all of the shopping and cooking in this house. All of the cleanup, too.

Don't know how good I am, but my customers all like my cooking. :)

My son does all the cooking in his house, too. His main squeeze is a sweetheart, but a terrible cook.

Two of my daughters are the main cooks in their houses, the third shares.

Grandson Scott is an Executive Chef, so of course he does most of the cooking at home, too.

Re: Who cooks?

I do most of the cooking, the mrs will do some. It was easier when we had a house full to cook for. Now we seem to have too many left overs.

Re: Who cooks?

Guess I do about fifty percent of it. Tonight fixed supper had grilled steak Uncle Bens rice and steamed cauliflower. Turned out to be pretty good at least I thought so. The dirty dishes are still in the sink Mrs. Treedancer is trying to fake me out but am busy on I Boats. :D

Re: Who cooks?

My wife does most of the cooking, or rather the prep of boxed meals. I actually "cook". The wife admits I'm a way better cook, maybe that's why the kids all weighed more when I was unemployed and able to cook dinner more often.

I think it's all about love. If you love to cook and love those you're cooking for, its aways better.

Re: Who cooks?

Anyone can learn to cook.

When I was married, I did roughly half the cooking--

When I was in college, I did all the cooking for myself and three roomates--and none of the dishes or cleanup!

Anyone that can pass a qualitative analysis Chem lab course can follow a friggin cookbook!

And one Thanksgiving, during a wild windstorm in Stanwood, Wa. I managed to pump my panic stricken mother in law full of wine, put her in a corner and out of the way, and did a whole Thanksgiving dinner with a gas BBQ and a couple of coleman stoves, under candlelight!

I do the cooking. The better half does the cleaning. It looks like Link and I have it pretty well. :)

I do about 75% of the cooking. I do the dishes and kitchen clean up too. The wife does most of the clothes.

Re: Who cooks?

Man, I really stand out here! I don't cook or do dishes. Those are the 2 things I refuse to do.

Re: Who cooks?

I do all the cooking in this house following a suggestion from the hospital regarding the number of visits that we had following Ms Deezy's attempts. The fire brigade station officer also seconded the motion :D

Examples of Ms Deezys attempts at cooking:

1. Gammon Steaks that turned out looking like black Compact Discs.

2. Pecan Nut Pie where the pastry was harder than Brazil Nuts ("we didn't have any pecan nuts so I improvised").

3. Baked Beans (x3) which were welded to the cooking pot and never moved again.

4. Bread (plain, simple, white) that outgrew the breadmaker and invaded the kitchen (scared the bejesus out of the puppies).

5. Roast potatoes that resembled charcoal.

6. Two microwaves that have been nuked by her trying to cook eggs (still in their shells).

7. Pork chops where the meat was harder than the bone.

8. Scrambled eggs that later doubled as a scourer for the pots.

9. Cauliflower cheese that ended up as "cauliflower cheese soup"

10. Beefburgers that I could have used as angle grinder discs.............

Nope, to prolong my life a bit longer, keep the fire and hospital staff less busy Ms Deezy is banned from the galley, except for dishwashing duties (I don't mind having to replace the dishes she keeps dropping!)
