I went out in my boat today, and although everything started okay and ran well, I lost all of the guages on tye instrumentb cluster.
I have checked all fuses, and all are ok. The only thing different from last week is I swapped the key for the spare. However, when I got home, the other key is the same.
The problem is intermittent, as after mucking around with the fuses for about an hour this morning, the guages sudenyl;y came on.
So out we went fishing, okay to fishing spot. Turned the key to start, and no guages again.

Any clues? Could it bey the ignition, although the boat was running fine.

I notice that the letters ProG appear in the clock LCD section. What does this mean? i couldn't find it anywhere in the manual.

Regards
Steve

The fuses you are playing with are likely those at the console and those are likely NOT the issue since the gauges are typically powered via the engine harness and therefore protected by fuses(es) at the engine. Gauges need +12 volts and ground so check the wire from the "A" terminal on the ignition switch to the first gauge in the string. Do the same for the ground connections. Losing all of the gauges at the same time says they are lost +12 volts or ground.

Thanks Silvertip,
I had a look on Sunday and found, by switching between batteries that the No 1 battery was nearly knackered.
Took it out and had it tested only showing 065 crank power compared with 820.
replaced battery and all ok - at least I will know next time (hopefully there wont b e though)

Thanks for providing quick feedback, appreciated.
